Look-ALike Meter

This look-alike meter is so so so true, lol! I am just happy to know that I am 25% a look-alike of my daughter. Me and my husband are always claiming that our daughter is a look-a-like of our own selves. But this proves that me is the look-alike and not my husband, lol! You loose this time baby!, lol! Technology says its me and not you, lol!

Anyways, girlfriends and blog friends you must try this to see who amongst the parents are the real look-alike, I just hope that this one is so accurate.

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Vintage pics - Old pictures

Wow! this is a great way to start my day, me is so happy, lol! But my family pic tells me I need to diet again huhu got a wide face on that picture, lol! Anyways that wont ruin my day. Happy Monday :D

My Favorite ULAM!

Lol. I do not know the english for ulam so I just entitled it with My Favorite ULAM!, lol. Anyways I am currently cooking my favorite ulam, Ginataang MANOK! For people who do not know what is ginataang manok, it is a Filipino food composed of chicken, gata aka coconut milk, squash and long chili, sometimes with string beans but I do not like it so I do not include it, lol. I like it to be very thick and oily, telling this story makes me crave for it. I should better be finishing my cooking soon, lol!

How about you, What is your favorite ulam? and what is ulam in english?, lol!

Learning Bisaya, LISOD!

Bisaya - thats what they call a person who speak Cebuano and grew up in Visayas or has a Visayan decendants, Cebuano is a dialect of different provinces in Visayas and in Mindanao.

I admit as a person who grew up in Metro Manila I find it too hard to learn bisaya and I wanna quit, lol! Well being married to a bisaya for seven years now is really really really hard for me. Just imagine everytime there will be an affair like birthdays, weddings, reunions or even only a visit of his relative in our house would be a big stressful experience for me. Yes I want to learn, yes I tried, yes I understand a little but you know specially if you know how to speak bisaya I know you know what I mean. When his relative talked too fast bisaya and when they do that I get lost, just imagine that and I just ended up nodding.

My husband really wants me to learn it, I tried. I learned and understand it but only a word per second please, lol! But you know when I am reading text messages from his family in Ozamiz, I understand everything but when conversing, no. I dunno what is my problem, maybe just the speed, hehehe. I was once advised by my friend to learn it to know if they are cursing or swearing me already or what, lol! But you know the first words that I asked my husband are all the bad words, so it wont escape my ear, lol!

I just want to share to you what I learned today:

what are you doing? - unsay imong gibuhat?
is it flooding there? - gabaha ba diha?
im leaving - lakaw sa’ko

and too many more that I wish I will remember everytime I needed it, lol!

SAHM to WAHM, That’s ME!

The very reason that I blog is just for passing time. Just to get rid of the boredom until my family comes home. I have been a chatter for ten years now but some things gets really too burned out when you do it all the time. I left chatting about 3 years now, build my website as just a plain website I did on a frontpage, joined a lot of girly forums, social networks and dog forums then build my own forum then I stumbled upon blogs.

I had this domain already when I registered my first blog on a wordpress.com platform but I deleted it because I have this domain then just transfer my one and only post on my slash blog page, then I started blogging and I enjoyed it.

The very first money making add on to my blog is of course Adsense, I love every cents I earned. It took me 3 months to get my pin and another 3 months for my first pay, thanks to Adsense that I am now receiving payments with them every other month. I wish to get more on a monthly basis now, aim high!

Then after Adsense, I registered for a lot affiliate programs. Well I had dollars with them that I cannot claim because of the huge payout, lol! But luckily linkshare has been good to me, I had 2 checks with them already. I think I blog about my first pay with them on my slash blog page and the recent check is still a check, I didn’t have the chance to en-cash it but I am sure I will before it expires.

I admit that I was so skeptical on doing paid post before because they said it will affect my rankings, but index time comes and I haven’t been doing paid post but from pr4 I was down to pr2 so then I decided to join the group of Post-Ties, Wahm, mom bloggers and the all paid post bloggers in the blogosphere and I am really enjoying it. I wish I did that when I was still on a high ranking to get a better monthly income but being now a wahm, I do not care more about the ranks but the passion to help my family on our monthly bills.

Honestly, this is a great self esteem booster that even if I am “just” a mommy at home I still earn, help and save for my family. This is really fullfiling and I love it.

My Not So Favorite Household Chore

It has been eight months since we haven’t had any household help. Well all the household chores is so easy except for ironing. I am really having a hard time on doing this chore not because I do not know how but only because of the heat. Plus I remember my grandmother’s advice that to do not wash my hands after ironing for I will get spasm and the worst would be leprosy. So scary isn’t it? and really I am scared about that because I am guilty of doing it.

I am only task to iron my daughter’s uniform and some of our outdoor clothes, for the house clothes can be worn even torn out and wrinkled, lol! Unlike before when we have a helper even the for house clothes are all ironed and properly stocked. Well I shouldn’t be picky now for I will be the one to suffer, lol!

Some of my friends told me to try getting help from the agency but I am bothered about some maids from the agency who reportedly do harm on the kiddos, steal or worst is to kill their bosses, i am scared about that fact. I want someone who is recommended by a relative or a friend but most of them are also having second thoughts of recommending because maybe they are also aren’t sure about who to recommend.

But we are having fun doing the chores, we have our own share of things to do. Even my daughter helps us by sweeping the floor and wiping the tables but only during Saturdays and Sundays, lol! But soon I hope I could get one specially when I have my second baby.

Ooops, btw I am not pregnant yet! Maybe soon. :P
