Sweetest Day 2009 falls today, October 17, it is celebrated yearly during the third Saturday of October. It started out in 1922 in Cleveland Ohio when a candy store employee named Herbert Birch formed a group to give small gifts for orphans, homeless and troubled. These gifts were as small as cards, candy or flowers but meant a lot to the receiver.

Now it is already celebrated outside Ohio, sweetest day big sale followed by California, Florida, Michigan and Illinois. Happy Sweetest Day everyone, show your love ones how much you love and appreciate them always.
