100 Adventure
Last Monday after my daughter’s class, she asked me if we can go to Manila Zoo. I asked her why? she answered because my classmates had been there and I am not. I told her that it is just the same as Avillon and Subic Safari, a place full of animals and you already saw a tiger right? she answered yes. A monkey? she replied yes but I want to go Manila Zoo. Then I remembered that during their last field trip she wasn’t able to go because she was sick and one trip is to go there. So I replied yes to her and she was so excited about it but I said we will go today but we have to wait for daddy.
We left the house 4PM and believe me the trip is really an adventure because we almost got hit by a big container van near the pier station, its rush hour and everyone wants to be the first to go. Thank God were safe and okey.
When we got there it’s almost past 5Pm. We paid 80 pesos for the adults (40 pesos each) and 20 pesos for the kid so it’s our 100 adventure LOL! My daughter hurriedly ran towards the elephant which is the first animal you will see upon entering the zoo.

Even me I was so static about seeing those animals because it’s been 7 years since I last visited it and I asked my husband when is the last time he went there, he replied more than 20 years ago LOL!
I took pictures of our Manila Zoo trip and see if I can pass to have my own photoblog LOL! or maybe I need a lot of practice and a good camera.
What ya think?

My daughter playing

Making fun of the hard elephant, LOL!

All of us become a kid that time, that it’s like our first time too. Funny though as my husband remember it correct the zoo wasn’t like that before. He said it is much cleaner,
the animals are in healthy condition and there are lots of things that can be done. But now the animals are kinda not in good shape. And the last time I went there the Tiger is as thin as a carpet LOL i mean not that thin but really it is thin before but is it the same Tiger? because he had gain a lot of weight now LoL! but one crazy thing, I didn’t see any Lion there, I am expecting to see one or maybe he is just hiding on his cave. I hope the Manila City Hall can give attention to this favorite attraction of our young generation. But still we enjoyed the trip a lot, even if we only had an hour there because the zoo’s closing time is 7Pm.
If you are wondering where the hell is joanjoyce. Well I tell yah, I am not yet ready for my close up! LoL! I hope you enjoy our little trip. My brain needs a break from all the tutorial stuff I have learned online. Take Care. Keep on Smiling. ![]()

i lived in Manila for 5 yrs during college, and I never went to Manila zoo once! even if our tambayan then is harrison plaza.hehe.
i remember i only got there when I was still a kid, so i don’t have any vivid memory about the zoo. Hmm, parang gusto ko din makita un plus looking at ur daughter’s face, she really enjoyed!
Di pa kasi napunta kids ko sa zoo here, though we already saw taronga and melbourne zoos in OZ. I don’t want to compare anymore, of course the manila zoo is smaller. But so what, it’s still one of Manila’s landmark diba?
Hay, buti hindi natuloy conversion nyan into PBA coliseum.
Pero sis, san na ang beauty mo?hehe, kulit.

alam ko x mayor atienza wants it to become industrialize, as in my mall, my rides, parang overhaul ang zoo at the same time the animals wont be caged and have their areas where they can run free, but making this project, some trees may be affected and thats what the environmentalist petitioned it to be on hold. but sabi naman before ni atienza they wont cut trees but relocate pero di na natuloy kasi si lim na mayor now. sayang din yung plan na yon mas ok kasi mas maraming magagawa, di yung iikot ka lang to check on the animals, ride the bangka and eat sa canteen inside
hehe wala pa ng beauty sis e, nekstym na lang

I haven’t been to the manila zoo in more than 25 years! actually hindi ko na matandaan kung kelan but I know I’ve been there.
kala ko pa naman kasama ka sa pics, shy ka pa pala. LOL.

when we went on holiday in the philippines, we dropped a visit just to see what its like now. there’s some improvement but absolutely no better from what it was like 25 years back.
But good move. need more visitors to come in to raise the funding for its improvement.

your daughter sure had fun! kahit ang simple ng manila zoo, sa mga bata okay na yun. avilon is so big it’s tiring for kids na.
we love zoo trips, too–me and my nephew. it’s always a fun activity for us! maybe this summer we’ll try to visit paradizoo in cavite.

When I was little/small (pandak ako noon) the zoo seemed endless. nakakapagod lalo na pag nakita mo yung elepante. when i got back with my eldest a decade ago ang liit lang pala ng zoo. nag-improve sya ha…tumanda na yung elepante.
