Earth Hour 2008
Hey, I just signed up to the new Earth Hour website for 2008 and I thought you might like to take a look and possibly sign up too. Earth Hour is on 29 March 2008 at 8pm, and it looks like it’s going to be really big. So far, as well as Sydney, there’ll also be Chicago, Tel Aviv, Manila, Copenhagen, Melbourne, Brisbane and Toronto all turning off their lights for an hour in the name of fighting global warming. And I’m sure there’ll be more cities by March. Sign up for Earth Hour with me by visiting here and join the movement.
Yes, I signed up today and pledge my support to Earth Hour. It is an international event that asks every individual households and businesses to turn off their lights and other unnecessary electrical appliances for one hour on March 29, 2008 between 8PM-9PM to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions.
Take part on making Earth Hour 2008 a huge international success by telling your family, friends and everyone you know about this event. As Earth Hour says, every single light makes a statement and makes a difference.
As of the moment, there are 270, 512 individuals signed up and pledge for support for Earth Hour 2008, 19,456 businesses on more than a hundred countries taking some action on global warming.
