Are You Friendly?
Are you a friendly blogger? I say you do not have to be an English major or a professional on some sort of fields to be able to relate with your readers and be friendly. Sometimes, ordinary individual have better friendly blogs than a valedictorian in their class.
But what if you are not as intelligent as the valedictorian and not better of as that individual does? How can you be interesting to a prospect reader? Well if you are an average joe when it comes to your writing skills, then you should be able to accomplish a very reader friendly blog.
Blog post are better when they are short and up to the point. We know readers do not visit just one blog and if your post is too long to read they might opt to leave.
Here are some points to consider on making a reader friendly blog.
- Headlines. It should be attention grabber, too tempting to read it all.
- Subject. Let them know what your post is all about then followed by the details. If your topic is interesting enough I am sure they will read it all for details.
- Eye Friendly. Admit it, it is hard to read on dark background and light small fonts. So please help save our eyes with that.
- Breaks. Outlines, bold lines, italicized and bullets can give readers a break to all the letters and serves as a guide to follow as they read.
- Photos. Helps bring a feel in your blog.
- Relaxed. Talk to your readers, Blog as if you are just talking on a cup of coffee.
- Proof Read. Grammar and spelling check before posting. Kids will learn if you do it right.
- Allow Comments. That would be a treat to your readers if you allow them to comment on your post.
By doing this things I am sure you’ll gain a reader friendly blog and who knows you might gain real friends too.

I agree 100%. Sometimes I’ll visit a blog and think “Gosh, I’d love to be supportive, but I just don’t have time to read through 300 sentences to get to the point! A point can be made without a lot of drama I think.
