Whitney Thompson: First “ANTM” Plus Size Winner
Whitney Thompson, born September 26, 1987 in Atlantic Beach, Florida, is an American fashion model and a winner of the Cycle 10 of America’s Next Top Model. ANTM is hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks on CW Network.
She is the first plus sized model to win in the series but she is the second ANTM winner from Florida, first in her was Yoanna House, winner of Cycle 2.
Whitney might not wear a plus size by a ready to wear standards of our regular department store but she is definitely a plus size by the fashion industry standards.
Whitney won a contract from CoverGirl Cosmetics and will be appearing on the July cover of Seventeen magazine. She also won a contract with Elite Model Management as her official agency.
So full-figured women like Whitney and overly full-figured women like me, do not loose hope. If we dream to achieve on something all we have to do is believe and make it happen. Do not worry about the boys, I know some of them love us too.

I think she’s gorgeous. I actually think fleshier women are prettier than stick thin models and celebrities that’s why I don’t quite get all that rage to have a waif-like body. I know some big women who get all the boys kasi nga boys love their huggable bodies.

yes i agree with that but i am just hoping that some popular clothing brand will stop discriminating the plus size girls and make a trendy line for it too.
Plus girls today are a bit luckier than my teenage days (i end up buying boy’s clothes then) because rtw are very much available already but on a limited design and with a very high price tags.

most americans look old for their age unlike asians they remain a cutie even at 30, maybe the weather od maybe the food? but some americans look young too..

Who cares about her size. She did a great job, she spoke well and she did the best job on the runway in her final challenge. I’d be kinda pissed if I were her. A model is a model. I wouldn’t want to be separated from the others by size… just category I guess (catalog, runway, high fashion, etc.)

no question about it but the usual models based on her interview are sooooo thin that almost looks like a hanger so having a boobs and a big butt is not the usual thing on modeling. She is really one courageous girl and she deserve it..
