I am getting passport for my kids as well. I guess the hardest thing here to have their picture taken. My daughter 3 years old is quite okay, aside from when she sees the camera she is all smiles with teeth out, so the photographer just instructed her not to smile, then she keeps on looking at the ceiling, the lights, etc. My son who is just 1 year old was crying when we put him at the lights. There, I guess at an early age we should let our kids be immune on cameras.

The new policy requires that all minor applicants from 0 age needs personal appearance. Such a hassle.

Nice info! Though I need some help, me and my wife are here in UAE we have one son (2 yrs old)left with his lola sa pinas, now we want him to go here so we need his passport copy to process the visa. What are the documents that they need (pinas) to process and get his passport. Mentioned here that these are the req:
original and photocopy of birth certificate (from NSO)
original and photocopy of the parents passport (do they really ask for original?)
marriage contract (also from NSO?)
any document with mother’s maiden name.
how about dswd clearance? How to get this one. and do they need authorization letter coming from us?
Saraming salamat!
Regards,
