Pinay Scandal
This post is in support of Macuha’s call for topping the SEO of Pinay Scandal using the keyword filipina. After reading Ambo’s Scandal, I decided to have one. This might be irrelevant but it will still help for the purpose. Feel free to do so. Make a difference.
When I was still on my teens I have read a book by Barbara C. Gonzalez “How Do You Know Your Pearls Are Real”, it was a good book but I don’t appreciate it that much until the days that I’m going through my trying times.
During those days of being alone, re-thinking about my life, confused on many situations, I saw the book again and found myself getting answers to the many questions that lingers on my mind, like..
What is good to life after a dream had ended? and there’s a particular topic that answers me, and it talks about beauty after the love has gone. How many wives have felt that the reason why their husbands interest to them is lost are because maybe they were no longer young and pretty like before? the book’s answer really gave me a deeper meaning to beauty, it says “beauty is not appearance, it is character, what is character? surviving the tests and the good times with only wrinkles and twinkles”.
Yeah yeah yeah easier said than done but it gave me enough reason that hey! its not me! not only me to be blame..
It’s true as we grow older our skin matures, have wrinkles, but wrinkles with meaning and they are the proofs of what we’ve been through, lines on our face becomes part of our personality. We should live our life the way it should be lived and it should be well.
Every experience, every turn of event should carry a lesson and we should learn from it and remember, because each experience makes as a strong person.
If you will ask me, what is a life well lived? found in the book and i quote..
So what is a life well lived? useful. You must be of service to your family and then humanity. You mustn’t be a burden to anyone. You should be interested and interesting. Growing all the time, rising to challenges, creating them. be adventurous, eager for change, be an agent of change. You must be calm and fearless. serenity shines even through ripples of stubborn cellulite. You must get to know yourself well, like yourself so much, forgive yourself often and do all that to others, too. you must offer more, expect less, stop keeping score. avoid frenzy, try for a slow, soft flowing into the inevitable
This book gave my life a new meaning, a new perspective on seeing things that comes my way. But in addition, a life well lived is serving God above all and to love our self, yourself first before you can give love to others, everyone needs love, if you do, you will find the confidence and the beauty that only God can give- peace of mind and serenity of life.

I used to have that book, forgot ko na kyng sino nanghiram. Actually, its a good read talaga. My friend recommend it to me. Anyway, I’ll be also joining the Pinay scandal soon.

Dignity is inherent in our very humanity, bestowed on us simply by being born.
I think your quote is the most important and succinct of them all:
a life well lived is serving God above all and to love our self, yourself first before you can give love to others.
This orientation toward one’s recognition of God as the author of our existence compels us to serve out of love for Him, our humanity that’s a gift and to seek justice for, and give love to others. You hit the nail right on the head with that one.
