Have you heard of Negative Ion?

My daughter have a high fever, coughs and colds since she came home yesterday from school. I gave her paracetamol every four hours but still today, ohw just this morning, her fever was still as high as 39 degrees. So I hurriedly ask my husband to bring our daughter to the hospital just to have her blood checked for dengue and her urine for UTI. My daughter had a urinary track infection just months ago so I am kinda being just cautious about its recurrence but thank God the result was all negative and it is all just pure fever due to coughs and colds.

The med tech had her blood test, the nurse gave her vaccination for fever, make her pee for urine test and put her on nebulizer machine to help her breathe well. Then after all the laboratory tests, the doctor gave us medications such as antibiotics, paracetamol and phenylpropanolamine and I was shocked to find out that our bill summed up to less than 2K (ka-lurkey! nagtitipid pa naman ako para sa treadmill, lolz) and will still have to buy for another bottle of antibiotics after the first bottle is empty, for the antibiotics will be taken for seven days, well that’s alright as long as my daughter will get well with all of that.

But what surprises me is the negative ion that my father put on my daughters forehead. Well it doesn’t look strange to me because it looks like just our ordinary daily panty liners (for us girls) right? But a panty liner on a forehead? LOL.

(I am just thinking that moment that if I were to blog this, should I categorized this as funny pictures? LOL!)

Anyways, I just hurriedly research the net about negative ion and found out that:

  • Negative ions increase the flow of oxygen to the brain; resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy,” says Pierce J. Howard, PhD, author of The Owners Manual for the Brain
  • They also may protect against germs in the air, resulting in decreased irritation due to inhaling various particles that make you sneeze, cough, or have a throat irritation.
  • Negative ions help prevent respiratory-related illnesses.
  • Negative ions counteract the effects of smoking.
  • Negative ions are a natural anti-depressant.
  • Negative ions for a positive attitude.
  • Negative ions help us to sleep better.

Well, there is no harm in trying so I just let the negative ion on my daughter’s forehead (but what does a negative ion doing on a panty liner? LOL) and hope she’ll get well quickly for I want to see her happy and strong again, I hope soon.

Look-ALike Meter

This look-alike meter is so so so true, lol! I am just happy to know that I am 25% a look-alike of my daughter. Me and my husband are always claiming that our daughter is a look-a-like of our own selves. But this proves that me is the look-alike and not my husband, lol! You loose this time baby!, lol! Technology says its me and not you, lol!

Anyways, girlfriends and blog friends you must try this to see who amongst the parents are the real look-alike, I just hope that this one is so accurate.

Hopes and Wishes on a Genie

When I was growing up I always wanted to get a bottle with a Genie to make my wishes come true. I remember when I was in grade school my 3 wishes are to have plenty of money, to have a sexy body and to have a flawless skin, lol! Why? money is what everyone wishes to have in an instant and at that time I am having a hard time asking my lola 1 peso coin to buy lollipops. Sexy body, because I have been always fat (well excluding college years) and the flawless skin, well because back then I had this big scar on my knee that I got from running too fast hehe my lola says it will become a “bakokang”, lol!

I always do day dreaming, imagining of all those wishes coming true up until I reached my high school years. I had different wishes, changed priorities and become more selfish on my dreams during does days. But still I want to be sexy, then I want this person to love me of course he is my crush that time and lastly is to be atleast 5′6 tall, lol, for my crush. But ofcourse I know that time that Genie is just in a movie, in a cartoon, is a character in one story book but duuuuhhhh my hopes and wishes are still on finding a genie, i really really reaaally want to have a genie that time lol!

But when I turned college, my lola got sick of Alzheimer, my mother got sick of cancer, my auntie too had kidney failure, that made me more eager to get one. I prayed hard for them to be well and to grant my wishes but still we cannot question God’s will. I lost a lot of weight during my college years and not because of a Genie but because I decided that it is time to be slim and I did it. But you know after my pregnancy I gain it doubly back, huhuhu.

Now that I am already 28 years old, I admit that with my current weight problem, family problem, personal problem, I had been hoping and wishing again to get a Genie to solve all of it in an instant. But we all know that the only instant things now are the noodles and some meals, lol!

1Co 10:13 No temptation has taken you but what is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it.

I hope and I wish that I can solve all my problems without the help of a Genie ;)
